Thanksgiving. This day is given to us as a free gift. In a culture that thrives on dissatisfaction and discontent, we struggle to celebrate this day as it begs to be celebrated. We are offered two options: gratitude or greed. If the latter is chosen, we become easily susceptible to the well thought out strategies of the market. But make no mistake, while their “offerings” come in a variety of shiny packages, what lies within is a strong pair of golden handcuffs. This year, don’t let “Black Friday” hand you its script. There is much that we all need, and these things are rarely advertized. I am thankful for all friends that are graciously given and can never be bought or sold.
